Captain, Ben Griffiths
BEN GRIFFITHS
Captain

Officer In Charge.
Joined Dromana: December 1991

4th Lieutenant, 2nd Lieutenant and 1st Lieutenant prior to being elected Captain in 2008.

Extensive leadership qualities, excellent fire ground management skills.

A Juvenile Fire Awareness & Intervention Practitioner Ben volunteers in educating with the intent of preventing minors who have a tendency to be involved in arson.

Ben has a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor Primary Teaching, and is a Grade 6 Teacher at Dromana Primary School.

1st Lieutenant, Tim Desmond
TIMOTHY DESMOND; JP
1st Lieutenant

Manager - Community Safety, Policy & Pre Incident Planning.
Co-ordinator - Authority, Association & Brigade Awards.
Joined Dromana: October 1985

Timothy has been Comm’s Officer, Secretary/Treasurer Safety Officer, 4th, 3rd, 2nd Lieutenant before being elected to current position. He is also a State Councillor with the Volunteer Association.

Brigade delegate to Peninsula Fire Brigade’s Group, No. 8 Regional Council, Municipal Fire Prevention Committee and State Rescue Association.

Timothy holds a Diploma in Business Management (CFA) and a Diploma in Training & Assessment Systems and currently works as an Instructor in the disability sector.

2nd Lieutenant, Chris Adlington
CHRISTOPHER ADLINGTON
2nd Lieutenant

Manager - Rescue & Marine Services.
Joined Dromana: January 2002
CFA Member Since: February 1996

A previous member and 4th Lieutenant of Moorooduc brigade, Chris had been 4th, & 3rd Lieutenant of Dromana before current position. Has a extensive experience in road accident rescue management techniques.

Brigade delegate to State Rescue Association and brigade liaison officer for neighbouring Safety Beach Coast Guard Fire Brigade.

Chris undertakes scuba diving of Port Phillip Bay .

Christopher is an Engineering Fabricator specializing in architectural metalwork in the construction industry.
3rd Lieutenant, Jenni Clemens
JENNI CLEMENS
3rd Lieutenant

Manager - Learning & Development
Joined Dromana: March 2003

4th Lieutenant before current position, Jenni through her functional manager portfolio has been instrumental in organising each members training and development.

A fairly new member Jenni’s leadership qualities where realised quickly and she has appropriately been elected an operational officer of the brigade.

Jenni holds an Associate Diploma in Recreational Leadership.

Jenni currently works in Customer Service in the retail sector, and recently operated her own business in the town.
4th Lieutenant, Jason Bardelmeyer
JASON BARDELMEYER
4th Lieutenant

Manager - Equipment & Infrastructure
Joined Dromana: March 2005
CFA Member Since: 1990-1998, 2005-Current.

Previous service to Warneet-Blind Bight brigade (8 years). Jason has been a great asset to the brigade with extensive knowledge in general safety.

His level headed approach to operations makes him a perfect choice for an Operational Officer of the brigade.

Jason is a State Accounts Manager for 3M Products and travels extensively around the Victoria and Tasmania.
Communications officer, Lee Walker
LEE WALKER
Communications Officer

Manager - HR & Logistics
Joined Dromana: March 1996
CFA member Since: November 1993

Lee transferred from Boronia brigade when he moved to Dromana.

He holds a Certificate II in Firefighting Operations.

Employed for many years in the fire equipment maintenance sector, Lee has excellent knowledge on fire suppression and fire alarm operations.
President, Robyn Desmond

President

Manager - Brigade Governance
Joined Dromana: November 1991

Robyn has previously been 3rd & 2nd Lieutenant of the brigade over a ten year period.

Also a Deputy Group Officer of Peninsula Group for 4 years.

She has extensive leadership experience and fire ground management skills.

Brigade delegate to Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria No. 8 Regional Council.

Robyn is employed as a Security Officer for a national Television studio.

Secretary, Pamela Rowler
PAMELA ROWLER
Secretary

Manager - Brigade Administration
Joined Dromana: March 2002

Pam was selected to join the brigade as Secretary, having only every held this position she has a wealth of knowledge in Administration management, also Secretary of the Dromana-Red Hill RSL Club.

Pam is retired; her last employment was a Secretary for Rye Hotel for 18 years.
Treasurer, Rowanne Wakefield-Payne
ROWANNE WAKEFIELD-PAYNE
Treasurer

Manager - Brigade Finance
Joined Dromana: March 1989

Rowanne has operated her own business in the town for nearing two decades. She is also a member of the brigade’s Auxiliary, and the presenter with a brigade initialled group TRAG.

Rowanne has an enormous number of callouts having reached 1500 in 2008.

Brigade delegate to Teenage Road Accident Group (TRAG),
Rowanne is Manager of Catherine’s of Dromana, a women’s fashion retail store.

Safety Officer, Shawn Cahill
SHAWN CAHILL
Safety Officer

Manager - Brigade Safety
Joined Dromana; Jan 2007
CFA Member Since: December 1985

Shawn transferred to Dromana having held 4th, 3rd & 2nd Lieutenant positions with both Baxter & Tyabb brigades over many years.

His experience has allowed him to implement a great mentoring role for many newer members.

Shawn worked as a Defence Department Ships Boson on Bass Straight for many years recently changing career to become an Environmental Service Technician in the medical field.
